Peace is sought as much by the rich as the poor.The poor need food and shelter for peace and the rich need peace despite having food and shelter.This is the paradox faced by almost everyone.

ऐ दिल ले चल कहीं दूर,

जहाँ प्यार ही प्यार हो,

कोई किसी का शत्रु न हो,

जहाँ खुशियाँ बेहिसाब हो,

हौले-हौले बहकर हवा देती हो सुकून,

शांत वातावरण हो,खिले फूल बेहिसाब हों,

न करें कोई इक दूजे से गिले-शिकवे जहाँ,

जीने की उमंग और आशा लहरों की तरह अठखेलियाँ खाएं जहाँ|

If your eyes are positive,you will like all the people in the world,but if your tongue is positive,all the people in the world will like you.

भोर होने का सबसे ज्यादा स्वगत,

नन्हीं  चिड़ियाँ ही करतीं हैं,

पौ पटने से पहले ही उठकर,ये 

चहचहाकर  सारे जग को उठाती हैं,

खुश होकर,ये सबको जीने का राज़ बतातीं हैं,

चिड़ियाँ हैं बहुत छोटी,अपने नन्हे मुख से 

प्रकृति का गुणगान करते नहीं थकतीं हैं|

सदैव स्वस्थ,स्वच्छ और सुन्दर रहना चाहिए तथा अपने कुल परिवार की श्रेष्ठ परम्पराओं का पालन करके कुल-परिवार का यश बढाना चाहिए|

Max the little camel walks into his parents'room at three in the morning and asks for a glass of water."Another one?"says his father."That's the second glass this month."

जग में अगर संगीत न होता,

कोई किसी का मीत न होता,

यह एहसान है सात सुरों का,

यह दुनिया वीरान नहीं है,

प्रेम नहीं जिसे सुर से,

वो इंसान ,इंसान नहीं है|

The best discipline is self-discipline,unless you have self control,you cannot lead a disciplined life.

जलता है दिया जीवन का,

जब तक तेल डाल रहा है वो,

बुझ जाएगा,एक ही पल में 

उस मालिक के एक इशारे पर,

मोह,माया,लोभ में फंसकर व्यर्थ इतरा रहा इंसान,

अपने ही बनाए हुए ताने-बाने में,उलझा रहा नादान,

अपना चैन खोकर,स्वयं के हित से अनजान रहा इंसान,

ढूँढ रहा है क्या,ये समझ के भी न समझ सका,राह से भटका हुआ इंसान|

A day without love and laughter is a day without life.

ओस की बूंदों से नहलाई ,
फूलों से महकाई,
चाँद-तारों से सजाई,
अपने दिल में,सदा सम्हाल के रखना,
दोस्ती हमारी,
ये है हमारे जीवन भर की कमाई|

When life becomes dark and killing,go out and seek a place of solitude to find space for some soul searching.That would be the way to a peaceful mind.

सपनों ने ऐसा डेरा डाला है,इन आँखों में 

अब तो हकीक़त भी सपना लगती है,

क्या कहें,अब तो तुम्हारी बेरुखी  भी,

हमें न जाने क्यों,अच्छी लगती है,

तुम पास हो हमारे,ये क्या कम है,

जब हमसफ़र हो तुम,तो क्या गम है|

Happiness or misery is in the hand of man himself.

हम खता पे खता किये जा रहें हैं,

इक बेवफा से ,

वफ़ा कि उम्मीद में जिए जा रहें हैं,
फुर्सत किसके पास है ,
किसी का हाले -दिल सुनने की,
इसलिए अपने अश्कों को,
बस अंदर ही अंदर पिए जा रहें है| 

वही मंगल है,जिससे मन प्रसन्न हो,वही जीवन है,जो परसेवा में बीते,वही अर्जित है,जिसका भोग स्वजन करें|

You are a loser in life,if you often ruin the happiness of others.

Once you get used to doing nothing,you find that there is no time left to become busy.

आकाश के झिलमिलाते तारे,लगतें हैं बहुत प्यारे,
चमकते हुए चाँद ने,अँधेरी रात को बना दिया जवाँ,
सुबह सूरज ने आकर,कर दिया रोशन सारा जहां,
नदियाँ खुश हैं,जानते हुए,कि उनके दोनों किनारे मिलेंगे कहाँ,
ये तो अपनी-अपनी किस्मत कि बात है,कोई कहाँ तो कोई कहाँ|

Weapons by themselves are not dangerous,it is the anger within man that is harmful.

No matter how bad a person may be,he must posses atlleast one virtue.Be like the humming bird and pick the sweetness of virtues.

गुज़रे जो गलियों से तुम्हारी,
याद तुम्हारी आने लगी,
हवा के हर झोंके से तुम्हारे,
प्यार की खुशबू आने लगी,
दिल का हर तार,
तुम्हे याद करके गुनगुनाने लगा,
तुम्हारे साथ बीता हर लम्हा,
हमें चुपके-चुपके गुदगुदाने लगा|

When a secret is revealed,it is the fault of the man who confided it.

It is human nature to hate those whom we have injured.

दिल को बेचैन कर देती है,
बेरुखी तुम्हारी,
हमें चैन से जीने नहीं देती,
नाराजगी तुम्हारी,
हमसे क्यों आँखें फेर लेती हैं,
नज़रें तुम्हारी,
न जाने क्यों,तुम्हारे प्यार के बिना,
मुरझाने लगती है,दिल की बगिया हमारी|

Truly happy people are independent of the situation and circumstances around them as they understand that it is not the environment and the situations that create our state of mind.

अपने ही मायाजाल में फंसकर,
इंसान शीघ्र ही होने लगता विक़ल,
मुख से प्रभु का नाम निक़लता है,
जब घेर लेतें हैं उसे कष्ट ही कष्ट,
निराश होकर हर ओर से वो,
रहने लगता है परेशान,
कोई सही राह दिखाए ,इस के लिए
तड़पता है,दुखी होता है,राह से भटका हुआ इंसान|       

In all conditions of life,let us thank the Lord.Let us make it a habit to praise the Lord at every step,in every round of life.

रिश्ते मुड़ जातें हैं,नए मोड़ कभी-कभी,
सुख-दुःख बदलते रहतें है,अपना स्वरुप भी,
कभी-कभी किसी के मीठे बोल भी खुश नहीं करते मन को,
और इन्द्रधनुष के रंग भी फीके लगतें हैं,आँखों को| 

An oyster saw a loose pearl that had fallen into the creviceof a rock on the ocean bed.He placed it just besides her on a leaf.When a pearl diver showed up,however,his eyes wereconditioned to look for oysters and not pearls resting on leaves.So he grabbed the oyster which did not happen to have a pearl and allowed the real pearl to roll back into the crevice in the rock.You know exactly where to look.
That is the reason why we fail to find God.

बादल को बेसब्री से इंतज़ार रहता है,
जम के बरसने का,
सूरज की किरणों को इंतज़ार रहता है,
धूप बनके बिखरने का,
कलियों को सदा इंतज़ार रहता है,
फूल बनके खिलने का,
हमारे दिल को सदा इंतज़ार रहता है,
तुम्हारे आ जाने का|

We worry about our family,we worry about money or the lack of it,we worry about work,all sort of things.These are all burdens-the things we pick up along life's path,only to find that at the destination they are useless and we can't take them with us.....

तेरे प्यार ने दिया है,इस दिल को
सुकून कितना,कोई क्या समझेगा भला,
मेरे हर सपने को तूने चाहा है,
उसे हकीक़त बनाने की दी है रज़ा,
शुक्रगुज़ार है तहे दिल से आपके,
क्योंकि सिर्फ आप है,
हमारे जीवन की बगिया के महकतें फूलों की वजह|

Whenever you want to,in whatever way you want,you can always ctiticise others.It is the world's easiest task.But the true sense of criticism lies in perceiving ownself.

कब से शैय्या पर पड़ी है,
मेरी वो सखी,जो दुनिया से नहीं,
शायद खुद से दुखी है,
किस्मत का चक्र कुछ ऐसा चला,
न जाने किस कर्म का उसे फल मिला,
न उसे बीतते वक़्त का एहसास,
न पता उसे सूर्य के उगने और अस्त होने का,
उसकी दशा ऐसी हो चुकी है,
न कोई अपना,न पराया उसके लिए है,
कोई नहीं उसका,पर वो सबके लिए है|

When someone strikes you,glorify the pain,be grateful that you have a chance to prove your steadfastness and loyalty.

कभी-कभी अँधेरे पनाह देने लगतें हैं,
अच्छी लगने लगती हैं तन्हाइयां,
कभी-कभी अजनबी अच्छे लगतें हैं,
और डराने लगतीं हैं,अपनी ही परछाइयां,
कहने को तो जिंदगी चार दिन की है,
पर थकाने लगतीं हैं,इस जीवन की डगर की लम्बाइयां|

Little deeds of kindness,little words of love,help make the earth happy,like the heaven above.

असीम कृपा है आपकी,
जीवन परिपूर्ण है प्यार से आपके,
और कुछ मिले न मिले,
सर पे हमारे,रहे सदा आशीर्वाद आपका|

दीप खुशियों के यूहीं जलाते रहना तुम,
मुस्कराहट अपनी यूहींलुटाते रहना तुम,
हमसे दूर रहो या पास,हृदय में हर किसी के 
खुशियों के फूल खिलाते रहना तुम| 

जिंदगी का दामन छूटना ही मौत है,
जिससे इंसान बेखबर है,वो मौतहै,
डरता है तमाम उम्र इंसान जिससे,वो मौत है,
भगवान् से जो नहीं मांगता कभी,वो मौत है,
हर बन्धन से जो मुक्त कर देती है,वो मौत है,
जिसे सदा याद रखना चाहिए,वो अटल सत्य मौत है|

Make room for leisure.Many people feel guilty when they indulge in leisure because they considerit selfish.

हवा  घुंघरू बाँध के नाचने लगती है,
हर तरफ शहनाइयाँ सी बजने लगती है,
उपवन की हर कली मुस्कुराने लगती है,
चांदनी भी गुनगुनाने लगती है,
कोयल अपनी मीठी बोली सुनाने लगती है,
जब होती है,आहट तेरे आने की|

सागर की लहरों की चंचलता तो देखो,
एक पल में ,छूने लगतीं हैं आसमान,
सागर की विशालता में,समाया है सारा जहां,
 अनगिनत अनमोल मोतियों का खजाना है वहां,
सागर की लहरों में हर भावना लेती अंगडाई,
सागर के हृदय की असंभव है नापना गहराई,
सागर की लहरों का नित नया नृत्य करना,
आशा और उमंग का नित नया संचार करना,
सागर की लहरों की चंचलता........

चलो,अपनी उलझनें को सुलझाएं,
पहले,दिलों के दरम्यान खड़ी दीवारें हटाएं,
उसके लिए आपस के गिले-शिकवे भुलाएं,
अपने होठों पर,सदा फूलों जैसी मुस्कान खिलाएं,
चलो ,अपनी कुछ .......

Why can't we take the same delight in givingand sharing as we get in recieving?

किसी ने कुछ माँगा अपने लिए,

रब से,

किसी ने कुछ माँगा दूसरों के लिए,

रब से,

पर हमने तो,चाहा सदा तुम्हे,

और माँगा है सदा,अपने लिए,

तुम्हे,रब से|

Beauty,love,compassion,benevolence,reason and order help us embrace with equal ease all things great and small.

इच्छाएँ  मन की ऊंची उड़ान है,

जीवन कभी धूप,कभी छाँव है,

निराशा इंसान के मन की थकान है,

प्रेम एक सुखद एहसास और इंसान की पहचान है,

मौत,

एक सपना है,खुली आँखों से दूसरे की,

बंद आँखों से अपना है|

Socrates was once asked by one of his disciples:

"Why is it,sir,that you tell everybody, who wants to become your disciple,to look into this pond here and tell you what he sees?"

That is very simple ,my friend ",answered the sage."I am ready to accept all those who tell me they see the fish swimming around.But those who see only their own image mirrored in the water are in love with their ego.I have no use for them."

फूलों की खुशबू ही नहीं,

काँटों की चुभन भी है जिंदगी,

सुबह का उजाला ही नहीं,

रात का अँधेरा भी है जिंदगी,

खुशियों का नगमा ही नहीं,

ग़मों की ग़ज़ल भी है जिंदगी,

जवानी की बहार ही नहीं,

बुडापे का पतझड़ भी है जिंदगी,

अरमानों का आकाश ही नहीं,

हकीक़त की ज़मीन भी है जिंदगी|

'Your life is not a coincidence,it is a reflection of you'.

वक़्त कहता है बार-बार ,

सुखी रहने के लिए करो मेरी कदर,

क्या ठिकाना मेरा,आज तुम्हारे साथ हूँ,

कल छोड़ चला जाऊंगा,कहीं और

फिर खोजोगे मुझे,कहीं न मिलेगी मेरी ठौर,

मिट जाएंगें सभी अँधेरे,साथ रहा जो मैं तेरे,

हाथ थामे रहो मेरा,जिंदगी के सफ़र में,

वक़्त कहता है बार-बार.......

One evening an old man told his son about a battle that goes on inside people.He said,the battle is between two wolves inside us all.one is evil-it is anger,envy,jealousy,sorrow,regret,greed,guilt,lies and ego.The other wolf is good-it is joy,peace,love,serenity,humility,kindness,faith,compassion,truth and hope.The son asked his father,'Which wolf wins?'

The old man replied'The one you feed'.

रात को करो विदा,
और सुबह का उजाला आनो दो,
अपने दुर्विचारों को संयम से काबू करो,
अपने सुविचारों को हर दिशा में प्रकाश फैलाने दो,
इस चार दिन की जिंदगी में,ऐसे कर्म कर चलो,
मरने के बाद,दूसरों को अपने लिए आंसू बहाने दो|

Every day should be started with a determination to lookout for people needing help,and if we do not get a 'Thank You',never mind.Let us smile on,and do our next bit of help-work more heartily than ever.

काश वो मोति से लम्हे,

सहेज कर रख पाते हम सदा के लिए,

बात-बात पर तुम्हारा फूलों सा हँसना,

आँखों में तुम्हारी तारों सी झिलमिलाहट,

न जाने कैसे हो जाती थी,तुम्हे हमारे आने की आहट,

चुपके-चुपके 

तुम्हारी साँसें बहुत कुछ कह जातीं थी,साँसों से हमारी,

कोई भी राज़ राज़ न रहने दिया,कभी आँखों ने हमारी|

Be openly happy in the joy of others.Be sincerely sympathetic in other's sorrow.This is the true joy.

When you miss your wish,expand your vision and rise above the wish.Surely you will end up getting more than what you had wished for.

ठान ले मन में गर,तो क्या नहीं कर सकता इंसान,

ज़मीन तो क्या,वो अपने हौंसलों से छू सकता है आसमान,

हर हार को अपनी,जीत में बदल सकता है वो,

हर शूल को हटाकर डगर से,चल सकता है वो,

सूझ-बूझ से अपनी,वैर को बदल सकता प्रेम में,

इस धरती की तस्वीर बदल सकता है वो|

Bad moments of life are as important as the good moments,nay,they are more important.You may be one of the losers but never lose your heart.The best thing you can do when you lose is to look victorious.This way you can turn losses into gains and make yourself more envious,than the winner.

स्वागत करो,बाहें फैलाकर हर नई सुबह का,

स्वगत करो,बाहें फैलाकर हर नए मौसम का,

स्वगत करो,बाहें फैलाकर पंछियों और बहारों का,

स्वागत करो,बाहें फैलाकर सूरज,चाँद,और तारों का|

याद कभी तो आती होगी,मेरी तुम्हे

पुकारतें होंगे,कभी तो साथ बिताये हुए लम्हे,

एक मीठी सी कसक,बादल जगाता होगा कड़ककर,

गुदगुदी सी कर जाती होगी,ठंडी पवन तुम्हे छूकर,

याद कभी तो आती होगी........

कहने को तो यह जीवन ,

सुख-दुःख का मेला है,

हर बशर इस भीड़ में,

बिलकुल अकेला है,

कोई गिले-शिकवे 

करने वालों के पास नहीं आता,

जीवन में सदा हँसते-हंसाते रहो,

दूसरों से प्यार पाने के लिए,

अपना प्यार सदा लुटाते रहो|

Do something for somebody,somewhere,

while jogging along life's road,

Help someone to carry his burden,

and lighter will grow your load.

यादों ने तुम्हारी,आशियाना बना

लिया है हमारे दिल और आँखों को,

हर प्यार में डूबे हुए,लम्हे की

भूली-बिसरी दास्ताँ सुनाया करतें हैं,इनको

और हम,सब कुछ भूल कर बस जिए जा रहें हैं,

खुद को खोकर,उन बीते हुए अनमोल पलों को|
