ख्वहिशें कहाँ पूरी होती हैं,

हर इंसान की,

किसी के पाँव में जूते नहीं,

तो कहीं किसी के पाँव नहीं,

किसी की आँखें,तो अंधे हैं वो,

कुछ को आँखें होते हुई,भी दिखता नहीं,

कहीं पानी है,पर प्यास नहीं,

कहीं खाना है,पर भूख नहीं,

और देखो तो,जमाने में,

भूखे-पेट सोने वालों की कमी नहीं,

आसमान की छत्त तो है बहुतों के सर पर,

पर रहने को दो गज जमीन तक नहीं|
